My Story
I’m Joe Mathis, founder of Valor Roofing & Restoration, and this company is more than just a business — it’s a reflection of my values, my journey, and my commitment to serving others.
After proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps from 2010 to 2015, I spent several years in the hospitality industry, where I learned the importance building strong relationships with people. That experience shaped how I approach business today — with discipline, transparency, and respect.
I eventually found my passion in the roofing and restoration industry, where I could combine hands-on work with helping people protect and improve their homes. I saw a real need for a company that homeowners could trust — one that delivers on its promises and treats each project with care.
That’s why I founded Valor Roofing & Restoration — to bring a dependable, veteran-owned service to Illinois communities.
